Coolangatta restaurants & dining
Located beachfront on Marine Parade, Mantra Coolangatta hotel is on the doorstep of some of the best restaurants in the region. Taste the flavours of the world on the one strip with restaurants offering Indian, Italian, modern Australian, Japanese and Thai just to name a few.
Most restaurants in the area are open seven days, some for breakfast, lunch and dinner and many offer beach views and outdoor dining, the perfect way to spend your weekend.
Using only the freshest locally sourced ingredients, head chef James Cahill invites diners to feast on confit duck cannelloni with wild mushroom corn puree and watercress and indulge in delicious deserts like crème brulee.
The modern restaurant features contemporary style decor with a mixture of crisp white furnishings and ruby red high back seats. The extravagant and intricately woven red lamp shades which hang from the ceiling also help to create a warm and romantic atmosphere. Outside dining is also available on the beautiful verandah with uninterrupted ocean views.
O-Sushi, found at Showcase on the Beach on Marine Parade is about as stylish as a sushi store can get. The quaint little restaurant serves up lunch and dinner daily with traditional bar seating around the sushi train as well as seating outside, providing relaxing beach views.
Choose from traditional favourites like sashimi or freshly made hand rolls then try the age dashi tofu, prawn tempura or one of their specialty mains which are an interesting Japanese-French fusion and are proving to be a hit with locals and tourists alike.
O-Sushi is licensed and BYO is available and open seven days for lunch and dinner.
